Minnesota Man Killed in Motorcycle-SUV Crash on Rural Road
Duluth, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcycle-SUV crash in northern Minnesota claimed the life of a Duluth man Thursday evening.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 6 p.m. It happened on a rural two-lane road about 20 miles north of Duluth.
Authorities say the man was operating the motorcycle and a woman was riding on it. The operator has been identified as 62-year-old Michael Allen Scott. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Scott’s female passenger suffered what are being described as critical injuries and was taken from the crash scene to a nearby hospital. The names of the passenger and the person driving the SUV have not been released.
The deadly crash is under investigation, however officials do not suspect alcohol was involved.
