CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has died after another teen told deputies they had taken a synthetic drug bought off the Internet.

The Carver County Sheriff's Office says Alexander Snyder died Tuesday at Hennepin County Medical Center, two days after he was found at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park

in Chanhassen. The sheriff's office says his father reported him missing Sunday and determined he was at the park through a tracking application on his son's phone.

According to the sheriff's office, a deputy found Snyder in a marsh face up in 3 to 4 inches of water. Authorities say he appeared to be experiencing what may have been a seizure.

The sheriff's office says a 17-year-old boy who was with Snyder told deputies that they had taken a synthetic psychedelic drug shipped from China before Snyder disappeared.
