Update: Minnesota Teen Who Drowned in Wisconsin Identified
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have identified the Minnesota teenager who lost his life in a western Wisconsin drowning over the weekend.

The Baron County Sheriff’s Office says two people went into the water after their kayaks overturned around 12:30 Saturday afternoon. The 17-year-old victim never resurfaced.
The drowning occurred on Lake Kirby, which is about eight miles northwest of Cumberland, WI. First responders pulled the missing teen to the surface after a sonar search of the lake.
He was flown to a Twin Cities hospital where he was pronounced dead on Sunday.
Medical Examiner Identifies Minneapolis Teen as Western Wisconsin Drowning Victim
On Monday the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the young drowning victim as Emiliano Alonzo Linaldi Enriquez of Minneapolis.
The manner of his death was deemed accidental and his cause of death was determined to be an apparent freshwater drowning, a news release from the medical examiner says.
Enriquez was pronounced dead shortly before 2:30 Sunday morning. The drowning remains under investigation by the Baron County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
