MN Teacher Accused of Soliciting Middle School Girl For Sex
Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - A southern Minnesota teacher has been accused of soliciting a student for sex.
A criminal complaint has been filed in Freeborn County Court indicates investigators responded on October 31 to a report that a male teacher had solicited an Albert Lea middle school girl to engage in sex. The court document indicates they were shown screen shots of the teacher communicating with a 15-year-old girl on Snapchat and allegedly discussing arranging secret meetings between the two.
The charges say investigators were able to identify the juvenile girl and spoke with her the following day. The criminal complaint says she told them that she met the teacher briefly while handing out cupcakes to a group of teachers and stated that he had requested her full name.
According to the complaint, she told investigators the teacher then connected with her through social media and sent her photos of his genitals through Snapchat. Investigators indicated they obtained permission to examine the girl's phone and found 10 photos and a video, which allegedly depicts the teacher performing a lewd act and soliciting a sexual act.
31-year-old Gerardo Noe Guerrero has been charged with felony counts of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct and distributing via electronic communication material that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child.
The Austin man's conditional bail has been set at $25,000.
