St Paul (KROC AM News) - More than 21,000 COVID-19 tests have now been completed in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Department of Health released its latest information about the coronavirus pandemic Wednesday and the report shows the number of deaths has risen to 17, an increase of 5 from Tuesday.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has risen to 689 and 342 of the patients no longer need to be in isolation. The report shows 122 Minnesotans have been hospitalized after contracting the virus and 54 are still being treated. Half of the 54 are in intensive care.

Olmsted County now has a confirmed total of 61 cases.
