
Tire Failure Leads to I-90 Motorcycle Crash Near Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A motorcyclist was transported to St. Marys Hospital this afternoon following a crash on I-90 south of Rochester.
The State Patrol says the motorcycle was traveling west on I-90 when a tire malfunction caused it to veer off the freeway and into the ditch. The crash was reported just before 1:50 p.m. in Pleasant Grove Township, about 2 ½ miles northeast of the Highway 63 interchange.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 70-year-old Dennis William Lato of Withee, Wisconsin. He was wearing a helmet, and his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Stewartville Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
