Stillwater, MN (KROC AM News)  - A Twin Cities area man who was charged earlier with stealing money from  the Minnesota State Fire Department Association is now facing several tax-related felonies.

The state Revenue Department says Anthony Bronk of Hugo was working as treasurer of the organization from 2010 - 2014 when authorities say he stole $188,000. He was charged with six other felonies in January, about three months after the association discovered some missing funds.

According to the Revenue Department, the complaint recently filed by the Washington County Attorney accuses the 42 year old Bronk of  knowingly filing false income tax returns for the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 tax years. The complaint says Bronk owes more than $15,000 in income tax, penalties, and interest. Bronk was also a member of the Hugo City Council when the missing money was discovered. He stepped down last November.
