New Charges for Rochester Woman with History of Check Forgery
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester woman with a history of check forgery and theft-related convictions is facing new charges.

Conditional bail for 37-year-old Crystal Walker was set at $5,000 Monday. She’s charged with one count of check forgery and one count of identity theft.
The criminal complaint accuses Walker of stealing a backpack from a vehicle in Rochester on September 4. The complainant told police the backpack contained their checkbook, ID, Social Security card and financial cards.
Investigators learned the victim’s checkbook and ID was used to cash a $803 check at Treasure Island Casino on September 8. The complaint says the money was deposited into a player’s account set up by Walker in the victim’s name. Rochester police made contact with Walker the next day and found her in possession of the victim’s checkbook, social security card, and ID.
Walker admitted to offering the check at Treasure Island and at other businesses, according to the complaint. Court records indicate Walker has six convictions related to check forgery and six prior theft convictions that date back to 2009.
