New Contract Boosts U of M Pres. Pay Above $625K

The University of Minnesota Board of Regents voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve a contract extension for University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler that runs through June 2020.

The agreement, which was signed by Kaler Wednesday, increases his salary 2.5-percent to a bit over $625,000 for the coming school year. It also ramps up the schools annual contributions to Kaler’s retirement fund from the current $50,000 to over $360,000 dollars in the final year of the contract.
