New Poll Shows Dayton and Franken Maintain Double-Digit Leads

A new poll shows Governor Mark Dayton and Senator Al Franken continue to enjoy strong leads over their Republican challengers.

Surveys conducted by Public Policy Polling put Franken’s lead over Republican Mike McFadden at 49-38 percent. The poll also shows Dayton has similar leads over the top three Republicans running for Governor.

The report notes the Republican candidates have fairly low name recognition, which gives them room to grow as they become better acquainted with voters in coming months.

The survey results are based on interviews conducted with 633 registered Minnesota voters last week.
