A long-time employee of Rochester Public Utilities has been hired as the next general manager of the city-owned utility.

The RPU Board held a special meeting Tuesday morning and voted unanimously to appoint Mark Kotschevar to succeed Larry Koshire when he retires at the end of the month.

Kotschevar has worked at RPU for 32-years and is currently the Director of Core Services.  He has also served as RPU’s Manager of Maintenance and Construction, Senior Electrical Engineer, Project Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer.

RPU Board President Jerry Williams describes Kotschevar as, “a great fit for the organization, now and moving it forward into the future.”
