
No Arrests Yet For Murder of Teenage Girl in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the murder of a 15-year-old girl.
Officials say officers were sent to North Memorial Medical Center around 10 PM on Saturday and were told a teenage girl had been brought to the emergency department with a life-threatening gunshot wound. She later died from her injuries.
The Hennepin County Medical examiner has identified the young victim as 15-year-old Marleisha Davenport. The autopsy report indicates the South St. Paul girl suffered a fatal gunshot wound to her back. At the last report, no arrests had been made in the case.
The deadly shooting followed the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Brooklyn Park Friday night. Brooklyn Park indicated the juvenile victim was shot multiple times outside a market in the Minneapolis suburb.
