Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police in Brooklyn Park are investigating the murder of a 16-year-old boy.

A news release says officers responded to the African Market in Brooklyn Park at around 9:46 Friday night and found the juvenile boy suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. The responding officers immediately performed lifesaving measures before the shooting victim was transported to a hospital and later died from his injuries.

Brooklyn Park Police say an extensive search of the area was conducted, but there have been no arrests in the case. The news release indicates detectives are now actively working to identify the suspect.
