Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man accused of being responsible for the drug overdose death of a Rochester woman two years ago today entered not guilty pleas to murder and another charge.

42-year-old Timothy Loftus is facing a third-degree murder charge and a felony count of interference with a dead body or scene of death. Authorities allege he supplied the narcotics that led to the death of 28-year-old Tina Arleth. He is also accused of dumping the young woman's body in a field east of Rochester where the property owner discovered the remains in June 2022.

Arleth was last seen alive on May 29, 2022 and she was reported missing about two weeks later. The criminal complaint says investigators learned that she had been dropped off at Loftus's home on May 29 and a review of cell phone records determined that her cell phone remained at the residence until it apparently lost power a couple of days later.

The charges also state that a witness told investigators Loftus had confided in him that Arleth died after he provided her with heroin and fentanyl.

His trial date has yet to be scheduled.
