Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The crash that occurred near the Apache Mall in Rochester over the weekend has now claimed a young woman’s life.

First responders were dispatched to the crash around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Hwy. 14/12th St Southwest and Memorial Parkway Southwest. 

A State Patrol squad car and two other vehicles were involved. All seven people who were occupying the three vehicles were taken to the hospital.

Member of Owatonna Youth Group Killed in Crash Near Apache Mall

Officials have not yet released more information regarding the crash, however a Facebook post by an Owatonna youth group called Owatonna Steele County Young Life indicates one of its members who was involved in the crash has died.

The social media post identifies her at Oliva Flores. There was a gathering to offer prayers for Flores’s family at the group’s location in Owatonna Sunday night.

Liv always brought joy to a room. She was so fun to be around, loved and cared about and for so many, and we are so thankful that we got to be a part of her life. She loved Jesus and is now living eternally with Him. We are sad, like really sad and hurting. We are holding onto His promise that we will be with her again.Olivia, you are loved and will be missed by so many. Please continue to lift up her family and so many hurting kids in our community.

The names and conditions of the others involved in the now deadly crash have not been released. Authorities have not yet disclosed the events that led up to the tragic crash.

The Rochester Police Department is assisting with the crash investigation. The intersection of Hwy. 14/12th St. Southwest and Memorial Parkway Southwest was closed for several hours following the fatal crash.
