
Nearly 3.3 Pounds of Meth Seized in Olmsted County Traffic Stop
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a significant drug bust.
According to Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin, a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon led to the seizure of a large amount of methamphetamine. The traffic stop occurred around noon in the 13,000 block of Highway 52 in Olmsted County.
A news release on the incident indicates that nearly 3.3 pounds of methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.
The driver was identified as 57-year-old Mark Steffes of Rochester. Captain Parkin says Steffes was taken into custody and transported to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center pending the filing of formal charges. He is currently being held on suspicion of first-degree drug sale and possession.

Further details are expected to become available once a criminal complaint is filed in the case.
