Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Olmsted County has announced the resumption of some services at the Government Center.

The county’s Property Records and Licensing Office is once again offering these services, effective today (May 20):

Birth certificates/death certificates
Driver’s licenses/state ID cards
Marriage licenses
Property tax services/payments: Residents can continue making payments at the drop-box located at the Government Center entrance.
Recording of real estate documents

The office has also started a new procedure designed to minimize waiting times.  Anyone needing driver’s license services can use the new online check-in system to schedule an arrival time. Further information is available on the Olmsted County website Service Directory.

Door A to the Government Center will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on business days beginning May 20. The skyway entrance to the Government Center will remain locked. Upon entry, visitors will notice new COVID-19 signage and protective measures in place to help ensure physical distancing guidelines are being followed. Anyone visiting the Government Center is encouraged to wear a face covering for the protection of others. Further, we ask all visitors to limit the number of people accompanying them in the building.

The county is planning to resume passport services on May 26. The new check-in system will also be available for this service.
