He was also accused of inflicting nearly $4,500 dollars in damages to the jail last December, when he allegedly started a fire by putting a paperclip into an outlet.

The criminal complaint in the case says detention deputies also noticed the toilet and sink in Sackett’s cell were partially ripped out of the wall. Detention Deputies moved Sackett to a different area of the jail once the fire started.

The charges say he broke off a sprinkler head and used to break portions of a window mounted on the door of the room he was moved to. The charges estimate the damage done to jail at $4,478.36.

On Friday, Sackett entered a plea agreement which calls for him to plead guilty to one of the felony threats charges and a first-degree property damage count in the arson case.

In exchange the prosecution will dismiss all of the other charges. The Rochester man is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
