
Woman Injured in Crash Near Elgin on Highway 42
Elgin MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was transported to St. Marys Hospital this afternoon following a collision near Elgin.
Collision Occurred Near Rural Church
The State Patrol says the Plainview Police Department and the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office also responded to the crash, which was reported just before 1 p.m. According to the preliminary crash report, two vehicles traveling south on Highway 42 collided when the first vehicle attempted to turn left onto a rural road next to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, about two miles northeast of Elgin.
Plainview Woman Injured
The driver of the vehicle attempting the left turn was injured in the collision. She was identified as 57-year-old Krista Heningferkin of Plainview. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Other Driver Also From Plainview
The other driver was identified as 39-year-old Adam Feils, also of Plainview. He was not injured.
The State Patrol says both motorists were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not involved in the incident.
