Plea Deal For Final Defendant in Hammond Baseball Bat Attack Case
Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News) - The fourth and final defendant charged in connection with a baseball bat attack in Hammond several years ago has entered into a plea deal.
37-year-old Stephanie Lucille Larson of Millville has entered a guilty plea to a gross misdemeanor third-degree riot charge in Wabasha County Court and has been sentenced to two years on probation. She originally faced five charges, including two counts of first-degree attempted murder.
Larson, her husband, and two other men were accused of participating in an attack on two men in Hammond on September 7, 2020. According to court records, one of the men suffered a broken jaw and cheekbone, a fractured eye socket, skull fractures, and a variety of less serious injuries. The second victim ended up with injuries consistent with being struck by a bat with nails protruding from it, resulting in puncture marks on his head, torso, and buttocks.
Her husband, 42-year-old Joshua Larson, earlier admitted to a felony riot charge that resulted in a stayed prison sentence and five years on probation. The two other men charged in the case, 32-year-old Elliott Glamm of Elgin and 21-year-old Daniel Luhmann of Hammond, also entered guilty pleas to gross misdemeanor charges and were sentenced to probation. All of them were originally charged with attempted murder.
