Rochester experiences 5th wettest April
For anyone who was in Rochester during April, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it was a cool and wet month.
Rochester’s precipitation total for the month was 5.64 inches, making it the 5th wettest April. It was only about an inch less than last April, which was the 2nd wettest on record. The total is nearly 2 ½ inches above normal. Measurable precipitation was recorded on 20 of the month’s 30 days. Below normal temperatures were also recorded on 20 days during the month. The average monthly temperature was 42.2 degrees, which is 4.5 degrees below normal.
