45 years ago, Newt’s opened in Rochester, Minnesota, and it didn't take long for locals to fall in love with their big, juicy burgers. Back in 1980, the menu was simple, but it's grown over time to include several specialty burgers and other types of food.

There are now three Newt's locations (north, south, and express) in Rochester, and a few years ago, they opened a restaurant in Apple Valley. The restaurant famous for its burgers serves up more than 8 tons of beef each month, but it's not just a burger joint.

I actually can’t remember the last time I ordered a burger at Newt’s. I usually go for their huge nachos, and sometimes I’ll just have a couple of beers with their delicious complimentary popcorn. They might have the best bar popcorn in town; they go through more than 10,000 pounds of it each year.

Limited-Time Shake at Newt’s Is Packed With Cereal Goodness

I never noticed Newt's had dessert options until I saw the restaurant post a picture of its latest shake on Facebook.

Newt's has a variety of shakes to choose from, including Rich Chocolate, Classic Vanilla, Sweet Strawberry, Smooth Caramel, and Crunchy Oreo. But it was their flavor of the month for November that caught my eye.

Newt's has created a shake featuring my all-time favorite breakfast cereal.

Yep, Cinnamon Toast Crunch just got blended into a full-on flavor bomb of a shake. Now, this specialty shake is only available for a few more days, so don't wait if you want to try it.
