Rochester, MN (KROC AM News ) - For the first time since December, gasoline prices in the Rochester area have gone over the $2 mark.  

Stations raised the price for regular to $2.05 Thursday night, up about ten cents.

Prices nearly went over $2 in early March but slowly fell into the $1.70’s before rising again.

Statewide prices slipped below $2 in early December and were as low as $1.45 in mid February. Rochester’s price for regular fell as low as $1.35 before the increases began.

The statewide average price for regular Friday was $2.06, up 15 cents from a week ago. The average price a year ago was $2.26.
