Rochester Man Charged With Producing Sex Videos With Teenager
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - What started as a suspicious death investigation has led to multiple unrelated criminal charges against a Rochester man who is accused of making sex videos with a minor.
Police investigators in January began looking into the suspicious death of an unborn child.
The mother was the girlfriend of 41-year-old John Stubbs. During the investigation, it was learned the woman and Stubbs had been in a “significant sexual relationship” for 3 to 4 years, starting when he was in his late 30s.
It was also learned Stubbs had produced several sexually explicit videos of the two.
The woman said one was recorded when she was 16 and another when she was 17-years-old. When interviewed by police Stubbs said he did not remember taking any videos of the woman when she was under the age of 18 because he had a “medical condition.”
Stubbs was arraigned Thursday on eight felony counts that include using a minor in a sexual performance. His bail was set at $150,000.
