An Olmsted County jury has convicted a Rochester man for raping a woman earlier this year.

46-year-old Reynoldo Morales was found guilty of a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge for sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman seeking to rent a room from him. Police say the victim had been staying at the local Dorothy Day House and a friend recommended she talk to Morales at his residence in April. After she arrived, Morales was accused of ripping off her clothing and raping the woman before she managed to escape.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 2nd.
