Police say the first incident happened in the early morning hours of August 24th when 37 year old Victor Fortner robbed a man at gunpoint in the parking lot of a northwest bar. He also ordered the victim to give him a ride, eventually getting out several blocks away.  He then walked to a nearby residence where a woman had just returned home.  Fortner walked into her garage, punched her in the face and ran off with her purse.  Officers were already in the area responding to the first crime and with the help of a K9 officer, were able to find Fortner hiding in some bushes.  He was treated for dog bites and then jailed.  He pleaded guilty in January to two counts of aggravated robbery
