Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the men charged in a Rochester kidnapping and assault case two years ago has been sentenced to 3 years on probation.

36-year-old Jamie Buck was also given a stayed 25-month prison sentence that he could be ordered to serve if he gets into trouble. He recently entered into a plea agreement with Olmsted County prosecutors and admitted to a felony false imprisonment charge in exchange for the dismissal of 2 counts of felony assault.

Buck was arrested in June 2017 after a man reported he had been abducted and beaten by 2 men who used a padlock placed inside a sock as a weapon. Police say the man was also punched and kicked in the stomach before he was released by his attackers. He eventually made his way to a convenience store, called for help, and was taken to St. Mary's hospital to be treated for injuries that included broken ribs.

Buck was arrested the next day at the residence where the assault occurred. The other attacker, 34-year-old Brent Espenson was captured later in the summer after managing to avoid arrest on several occasions. He is now serving a 33-month prison sentence.
