Rochester Man Pleads Guilty in Teen Pregnancy Sex Assault
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is awaiting sentencing after recently pleading guilty to sexually assaulting and impregnating a juvenile girl.
Charges filed in Olmsted County Court earlier this year accused 42-year-old Pierre Anthony Travnti Stanifer of carrying out a sexual relationship with the girl beginning when she was 14 years old. A DNA test identified him as the father of her baby, according to the criminal complaint.
Victim Says Abuse Began at Age 14
The court document says the victim told investigators that Stanifer, who she described as a family friend, would pick her up at a Rochester park and take her to his southeast Rochester home to engage in sex. She said the relationship ended in 2022 and that she did not want to have sex with Stanifer during their final encounter.
According to the complaint, the victim gave birth to a child in February 2022 at the age of 15 and identified Stanifer as the father.

Stanifer was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct. He recently entered a plea agreement and admitted to one of the third-degree charges in exchange for the dismissal of the other counts.

Stanifer is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
