
Rochester Included in Tornado Watch Covering Minnesota and Wisconsin
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester and the surrounding communities are included in a Tornado Watch that covers a large swath of southern Minnesota and central Wisconsin.

A Tornado Watch is when " Tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area," according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse issued the Tornado Watch at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, April 13. It's set to expire at 10 p.m. on Monday, April 13.
Forecasters with the weather service are predicting "a line of severe thunderstorms will develop mainly north of Interstate 90 later this afternoon and eventually track eastward through the area."

The main hazards are " Large hail (2+"), damaging winds (60-70mph), and heavy rain of 2-3" are the main threats.
A tornado or two cannot be ruled out," according to the National Weather Service.
