Rochester Parking Rates May Increase

The Rochester City Council is scheduled to vote tonight on proposed increases in public parking rates.

 Under the proposal, meter rates would go up anywhere from 5 to 20 cents, parking ramp rates would increase by 50 cents and monthly contract rates would go up $5 per month.

The last increase in rates was in January 2013.

 If the Council approves the proposal tonight, the higher rates would take effect January 1st.
