Statement Addresses Potential Protests

The statement goes on to address possible protests of ICE operations in Rochester.

It states, “We recognize that recent events in Minneapolis have prompted strong emotions and a desire for voices to be heard. Peaceful expression is a fundamental constitutional right and an important part of a healthy community. However, actions that obstruct law enforcement operations or escalate into civil unrest cannot be tolerated, as they jeopardize the safety and well-being of all.”
