Officers responded to the report of three people taking property belonging to an intoxicated individual at Kathy’s Pub, located at 307 South Broadway Ave. in downtown Rochester around 12:35 a.m.

A witness said the alleged robbery occurred in the alley behind the bar. Officers spoke with the victim who said three men took his wallet and phone after dragging him to the alley.

Police reviewed city surveillance cameras and saw footage of the victim approaching two of the assailants, later identified as 31-year-old Derrick L. Mitchell of Chicago and 22-year-old Avalon Lee Scott of Rochester

The three then appear to get into an argument before Mitchell pushes the victim into the street and Scott follows. The sides briefly separated before the victim approached Scott and Mitchell for a second time, court documents say.

At that time, 19-year-old Tamarion Jalile McReynolds of Mesa, AZ is seen entering the area. Scott then went around the building into the alley and the victim followed, the complaints say.

The group dispersed after the person who reported the robbery entered the alley, the complaints say.

Officers found the three men at nearby LC’s Venue and took them into custody. McReynolds told officers he knew where the victim’s wallet was and led police to an area of bushes where the wallet was tossed, the charges say.

The victim reported having less than $100 in cash in his wallet. No money was found when police recovered the wallet, according to court documents. Police found the victim’s phone on a nearby table.
