Rochester Salvation Army Launches Second Store

The Rochester Salvation Army will hold a ribbon cutting event at its new store this morning ( 9 am ).   The store is located at 4921 West Frontage Rd NW, behind Slumberland Furniture. The second  store features a 14,000 square foot retail showroom that includes donated clothing, household items, furniture, bedding, books and magazines and seasonal items.

Salvation Army spokesman Dave Ferber says customer feedback played a big role in the decision to open a second store, along with a desire to have a site on the north side of the city.  The other store is located next to  Kmart.    Store sales help fund over a dozen local programs that assist people in need.
