
Teens Captured After Crashing Stolen Vehicle, Fleeing Olmsted County Deputy
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office captured four teens who fled a deputy after crashing a stolen vehicle.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Monday. Law enforcement responded to the crash around 7:30 Saturday morning.
The deputy found the crashed vehicle north of Rochester in Oronoco Township. It had been reported stolen out of Rochester.

Teen Suspects in Rochester Vehicle Theft Captured After Fleeing Deputy
As the deputy was responding to the crash, he learned the occupants of the stolen vehicle had fled the area in a red car.
He saw the red car as he got near the crash scene and attempted to stop it but the car sped away, the complaint says. The car then stopped and four occupants exited before fleeing on foot.
A homeowner in the area reported four people had run through their backyard. Eventually, deputies caught the four occupants, according to the court document.
Fleeing Driver ID'D and Charged
The driver of the fleeing vehicle was identified as 18-year-old Dontrell Deanthony Whiteside of Rochester. The three others are described in the complaint as juveniles.
The owner of the stolen vehicle told authorities she last saw her vehicle around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Whiteside is charged with felony fleeing and felony receiving stolen property.
He made his first court appearance on Monday and court records indicate he posted his $2,000 conditional bail and is due back in court next month.
