Rochester Woman Admits Texting Before Crashing
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman admitted she was texting when she ran into the rear of a pickup truck Monday afternoon.
The truck was on South Broadway waiting in traffic at the 9th St. intersection when the woman rear-ended the vehicle.
Police say 31-year-old Katrina Cook told an officer she was texting with her phone and did not see the stopped truck until it was too late to stop. She was taken to St Marys Hospital with a non-life threatening injury. The driver of the truck wasn’t hurt.
Cook was given a ticket for improper driving and a warning about texting while driving.
