Rochester PD: 70-Year-Old Woman Catches Teen Stealing Money from Her Purse During Burglary
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police have arrested a teenage man in connection with a burglary and theft reported at a 70-year-old Rochester woman’s home.

Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says dispatch received the burglary report around 12:25 Thursday morning.
Officers found and arrested the suspect in an area near the victim’s home. The alleged burglary occurred at a home in the 3900 block of Superior Dr. Northwest.
The victim told officer she heard noises coming from her kitchen and found that one of the windows had been opened when she entered the room.
She then saw a man in her house taking money from her purse, Grayson says. The woman told officers she screamed for help and the suspected burglar and thief fled.
Grayson said police found the suspect a short time later in a nearby area. He has been identified as 18-year-old Jamine Robinson Jr. of Rochester.
Robinson Jr. was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and other charges.
Grayson said police are not disclosing the amount of money that was allegedly stolen from the victim’s purse. She says the police report does not say whether or not the victim got her money back.
