Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  Ready for a warmup?

Rochester may experience its warmest day since late November Friday as temperatures are expected to rise into the low and mid 40s.

The last time the official Rochester temperature was above 40 was Nov 28 when the mercury rose to 50 degrees. The warmest temperature in December was 39 and the January high was 37 degrees.

Those involved in Saturday’s Polar Plunge in Rochester are also catching a break as highs are expected to be around 40 degrees.

Compare this to last year at this time as Rochester was starting a streak of weather that produced overnight lows that were below zero several days and high temps that never reached 20 over a period of seven days (Feb 8 - 14).
