RPD Says Dead Pedestrian Was Rochester Woman

The Rochester Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.  A spokesman says a woman was hit by a vehicle around 9 o’clock Saturday night while walking across South Broadway at 25th street, near the Walmart store.  The woman - identified as 52 year old Tina Fausnaught of Rochester - died at St. Mary’s.  The police spokesman says she had checked out of the Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center a few hours earlier.

 The driver of the car says he did not see her until she stepped in front of his vehicle.
