RPD: woman raped while trying to rent a room

A Rochester man was charged today with raping a woman who was trying to rent a room from him earlier this week.

 Police say the 28 year old woman had been staying at the local Dorothy House and decided to try to find a place to rent. A friend told her to talk to 45 year old Reynaldo Morales, who had been living in an apartment in the 300 block of Elton Hills Drive northeast.  The woman told police she went to his residence and while there, Morales ripped off her clothing and sexually assaulted her.  The woman was eventually able to get away and officers later interviewed Morales, who said it was consensual sex.  He was arraigned today on a charge of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct and bail was set at $1 million.
