MELROSE, Minn. (AP) — An 83-year-old woman who went missing from her Melrose home has been found dead.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it does not suspect foul play in the death of Clara Pundsack. However, it is investigating what happened.

Authorities say Pundsack was last seen leaving her home on Thursday. The sheriff's department says she had a history of dementia.

A homeowner found Pundsack on Friday in the snow next to a building at a rural Melrose farm. An autopsy is pending.
