The Minnesota Department of Transportation says both westbound lanes of I-90 near La Crescent were reopened Monday afternoon after crews completed some temporary repairs to the I-90 bridge over Highway 61.Officials say work on permanent repairs could begin on Tuesday.

MNDOT says a semi-truck crashed on westbound I-90 around 6 last night and the big rig ended on its side and covering both lanes of the freeway.  The wreck occurred on the I-90 bridge over Highway 61 near La Crescent.

The truck also struck and took out a sizable section of bridge rail.

The truck was driven by a man from Windsor, Ontario.  The State Patrol says he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
