Small House Fire In Stewartville
An unattended hot glue gun started a fire at a house in Stewartville Monday.
A 10 year old girl at the home in the 500 block of 5th avenue southeast called 911 around 11:15 a.m. to report the fire. She had been using the glue gun on an art project in her bedroom, where the fire was confined.
The girl was not hurt.
A preliminary damage estimate was in the $20,000 - $25,000 range.
