‘Snitch’ Accusation Allegedly Led to Assault on Rochester Teen
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested early today after he allegedly attacked a teenage girl.
The 17-year-old ictim told police the man who allegedly punched her several times in the face was apparently upset because she had accused him of being a police informant during an encounter at a convenience store Monday night. She indicated she was then confronted by 21-year-old Kenneth Maclin and his girlfriend when she returned to her home in the 2100 block of 48th Street Northwest shortly after midnight. After a verbal exchange, the girlfriend began walking away but Maclin allegedly assaulted her by punching her multiple times, resulting in a possible broken nose and a laceration requiring about a half dozen stitches.
Maclin is currently jailed in Rochester on a long list of potential charges that include multiple counts of felony assault, aggravated robbery, and theft by swindle.
