Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Snow and rain fell across southeast Minnesota Thursday night and near-freezing temperatures Friday morning created slick driving conditions in some areas.

Public safety agencies were busy Friday morning dealing with traffic wrecks and mishaps around the region, some involving injuries.Crews were sent out to treat area roads due to the scattered slippery spots.

The National Weather Service says up to an inch of snow fell Thursday night  in parts of Fillmore and Houston counties.There is also a report of 1.5 inches two miles northeast of Stewartville.

More than an inch of rain fell at the Rochester airport on Thursday, raising the three day total to almost 2 ½ inches - the same amount of precipitation that was recorded there during the first three months of the year.
