Heavy snow could fall across parts of east central and northeast Minnesota beginning late tonightthrough Thursday as yet another storm is expected to blast that part of the state. The National Weather Service says it appears likely some areas in east central Minnesota could receive 9 - 14 inches, especially between Hinckley and Duluth. A winter storm watch has been issued for an area from west of Brainerd to Hinckley and into northwestern Wisconsin.

The storm could move Duluth closer to its alltime snow season record of 135.4 inches. The current total stands at 118.1 inches.
