
Swimmer Dies After Being Rescued From Busy River at Minnesota State Park
Hastings, MN (KROC-AM News)- A swimmer pulled from the water at a Minnesota state park has died.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders rescued the man on the morning of July 3 and brought him to a hospital around 9:40 a.m.

Swimmer Pulled from Busy River at Minnesota State Park Dies
Authorities responded to the report of a possible drowning at Afton State Park, which is about 10 miles north of Hastings.
A witness reported losing sight of a man seen swimming 20-30 feet offshore in about 12 feet of water.
Deputies and members of other rescue agencies responded and recovered the man in about 18 feet of water, officials say.
The man was taken to a hospital in St. Paul where he was pronounced dead. He’s described as a 27-year-old man from Minneapolis.
Authorities are withholding his name pending family notification and completion of the investigation.
