Statewide Alert Issued for Missing Child and Possible Murder Suspect
Arden Hills, MN (KROC-AM News/ Minnesota News Network) - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a statewide alert requesting the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered child.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Department and Blaine Police believe five-year-old Cristal Marie Oliva-Aguilar is with 25-year-old Nelson Soto-Lopez. He is being sought for questioning in connection with the death of a 21-month-old child in Blaine this morning. Officials say Soto-Lopez and Oliva-Aguilar were seen leaving a residence in Arden Hills on foot about two and half hours after the toddler’s death was reported in Blaine.
The alert issued by the BCA does not include any information about the relationship between the young man and the children.
Soto-Lopez is a hispanic male and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. Officials believe he may be attempting to leave the Twin Cities metro area.
