The suspect in the case is identified as 43-year-old Michael Timothy Pope. He’s charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The court document says Pope lived in the victim’s Rochester home from December 2018 through June of 2019.
The victim told police that one night Pope entered his bedroom and raped him when he was at the time about six years old.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, resources are available for help. Visit the RAINN website (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) or dial 800-656-HOPE (800-656-4673).
Pope also allegedly punched and kicked the victim and threatened to rape him and his mother if he told anyone about being sexually assaulted, the warrant says.
Pope’s current address listed in the complaint is homeless in Paradise Texas. Investigators believe Pope’s current living situation would make him unlikely to respond to a summons, the warrant says.
