
A 34-Year-Old Motorcyclist is Fighting for His Life Following a Crash With a Car in Southern Minnesota

New Ulm, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a crash with a car in southern Minnesota.

That’s according to the State Patrol, which responded to the crash around 1:30 Monday afternoon.
The drivers were the only people involved in the collision at the intersection. The crash happened before stormy weather swept across the area.

Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Crash With Car in New Ulm
The car motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and 17th St. North in New Ulm.
The motorcycle was traveling west on Hwy. 14 and the car was northbound on 17th St. when they collided in the intersection, according to the state crash report.

34-year-old Richard Wayne Oliver was identified as the motorcycle operator. The State Patrol says the New Ulm man was taken to a Twin Cities hospital with life-threatening injuries.
46-year-old Abraham Reyes Macias of Lake Crystal was driving the car. He was not hurt, according to the State Patrol.
The state crash report says Oliver was wearing a helmet and Macias was buckled up. The roadway was dry and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
