The pools are opening for the summer!

Rochester's public swimming pool season has arrived!  The Park and Recreation Department has scheduled Silver Lake pool to open Saturday ( June 7 ). The Soldiers Field pool is scheduled to open Monday ( June 9 ).

Here is the info on the pools:

The pools close if the air temperature is below 70 degrees. If the air temperature drops below 70 degrees at 5:00 p.m. and attendance is 10 paid admissions or less, the pool will close. If the pool is not open by 3:00 p.m. due to weather conditions, it will not open that day.

The Soldiers Field pool includes a 112-foot water slide, a drop slide and a zero depth area.

Daily Fees for Pools: Youth - $3.00/Adult - $4.00

10 Tickets: Adult/Youth - $25.00

Soldiers Field Pool hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.

Tuesday & Thursday 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

*Users of the zero depth pool at Soldiers Field will be charged the daily fee.

Silver Lake Pool hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

*Users of the kiddie pool at Silver Lake will be charged a fee of $2.00 per family.
